Higher education problems in America has begun to haunt everyone. It is upto the students to realize its importance. This problem has come due to the students not coming to school regularly. All over America, the faculty finds a tough job on its hands to convince the students about the importance of coming to school on a regular basis. It becomes all the more difficult when the parents do not cope in this issue. The most glaring example is found in middle school, college, elementary school, or even high school. As a result they are lacking in aptitude when it comes to higher education. No one is queuing up for higher education consultant jobs in United States.
A large number of schools have woken up to the crisis situation coming from attendance. They are trying to address the issue on a war footing so that higher education problems in America may subside and there would be more of higher education consultant jobs in United States.
The following methods have been suggested by policymakers and educationists to improve the drought arising from attendance in schools.
First and foremost a healthy atmosphere should be created. Especially those students who are in their teens should not shy away from coming to school regularly. There should be some extra curricular activities thrown in to enliven the atmosphere.
Secondly the students should be made to understand that they are in no circumstances allowed to skip class. This should be brought to their notice in the beginning of the session. These should help bring down higher education problems in America to some extent.
Third one they should learn from their Principal, teachers and other staff. The school authorities should set a good example by they themselves not taking unnecessary leaves, or go on an unnecessary vacation. Fourth one is that, have a parents teacher meeting at the beginning of each session and the parents should be made to understand that why regular attendance is important for high school students. If the student is absent for a short period, ask the parent to send a note giving explanation. If the student is absent for a longer period, then the school counselor’s advice should be sought by the parents.
Fifth and the last one is that, there should be one rule for everyone in the school. Some teachers do not bother if a student is absent, while some other teacher may go to the extent of being extreme with the student. This leaves a wrong impression on the mind of the student, and he ends up being confused.
